Zirconia

Zirconia
Zirconia has the highest mechanical strength at room temperature among engineered ceramics.
As the coefficient of thermal expansion is close to that of metal, it can be assembled well with metal.
Zirconia also has low thermal conductivity, and high fracture toughness that overcomes “fragility”, a weak point of ceramics.
-
